Butterworths Tea

Saturday morning for me is a time to spend longer drinking my beloved cup of tea and sometimes if I’m lucky I get a cup of tea in bed! Last year on holiday in Norfolk I found a fantastic make of tea made by Butterworth & Son called Suffolk Maid Tea. After discovering the make of tea from one of my favourite tea shops the hunt was on to find somewhere I could buy the tea myself. Unfortunately Butterworth’s website was being updated and was no help. Eventually I found it for sale the next time we were in Norfolk and, as it was more pricey than I’m used to spending on tea, I use it as a special treat at the weekends. I’ve finished the packet I bought and have to wait until our next holiday to buy more. However their website is now up and running and I’ve found they also twitter! Have you ever tried their tea? What’s your favourite make of tea? For me the pursuit of the perfect cuppa is continuous.

I must try this tea when we go to Norfolk! maybe I will bring some back as a souvenir. What’s best though- teabags or tea leaves?

In the teashop they use tea leaves and I think it is best, but so far I’ve only found the teabags. I’m going to investigate their website further to find some local suppliers.
